We would like to answer these questions.....
Quite simply, an elevated feeding station is a bowl that allows your dog to eat at it's natural
feeding/eating height.
Every dog, from the smallest to the largest, has an ideal height for feeding without discomfort.
This is defined as the height which they can comfortably eat without bending down at the neck
in order to feed.
Think of it this way.....if you had no hands, either to eat with or to hold utensils, suddenly the dinner
table would feel very
awkward to eat off, wouldn't it? Picture bending down to the table, to eat right off the plate, using
nothing but your mouth!
Imagine struggling to push the food into your mouth, all the while fighting gravity as it naturally
pulls everything back down towards the ground!
It wouldn't be easy would it? You would do it to survive, of course...who wouldn't?
But given the choice, I'm sure you would ask for utensils!
OK, you're right....dogs aren't HUMANS (although sometimes I wonder....), dogs are dogs!

By the same token that we could eat right off the dinner table, with no hands or utensils, dogs CAN
eat off the floor.
But isn't it nice(and SO much neater!) to use our hands and/or utensils?

Feeding from a bowl on the floor forces a dog to place more stress on it's joints. Obviously, for a dog
already experiencing
arthritis, or recovering from an injury, this stress is multiplied, and can either do more damage to
injuries, or delay healing.
As a dog eats from a bowl on the floor, the dog is forced to gulp air as they are eating. If the dog is
able to eat
at mouth level, there is no need to gulp down either food OR air!
This eliminates some of the "gas" issues that some dogs may experience.

Elevated feeding stations are easier to eat from, for any dog experiencing arthritis, hip displaysia, back
problems, or essentially, ANY injury.
Elevated feeding stations have also been proven to aid in the digestion of food, in all sized dogs.
